Tchaikovsky Discovers America

When Tchaikovsky opened Carnegie Hall in 1891, he was fascinated by the swirling energy of New York. While on a train to Niagara Falls alongside two children, he talks about his life in Russia, the 1812 Overture, and the three great ballets of Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Nutcracker.
